Job Purpose:

The ideal candidate will be an expert in growing communities on YouTube, driving video views and engagement. As well as all aspects of YouTube data, analytics, SEO, metadata, thumbnail strategy/design, and content creation using existing assets and original content.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the content, marketing, and social media teams to develop and drive the overall marketing strategy and projects.
  • Develop, produce, edit and execute a comprehensive YouTube content strategy aligned with overall marketing goals and driving greater viewership, ensuring it aligns with the company’s brand and overall content strategy.
  • Research and identify trending topics, stories, and formats to produce relevant and timely content for our target audience.
  • Actively engage with the online community by responding to comments, collaborating with other YouTubers, and participating in relevant social media discussions.
  • Filming bite-sized, audience-appropriate videos at calculated intervals.
  • Utilise YouTube analytics tools to assess video performance, audience demographics, and viewer behaviour.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimize content for better engagement and reach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of analytics, metadata, SEO, reporting dashboards etc:
  • Keyword expertise to enhance video discoverability and ranking on YouTube.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve video visibility in search results and related content recommendations.
  • Foster audience interaction and community growth by analysing data and creating suitable strategies to drive future engagement with the channel.
  • Implement strategies to increase video views, subscriber count, likes, shares, and overall engagement metrics.
  • Conceptualised and implemented effective thumbnail design strategies to increase click-through rates (CTRs) and video visibility.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and design best practices to keep thumbnails visually appealing and engaging.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Proven experience in video content creation and editing.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of video marketing strategies and audience engagement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing your video content work is required.
  • Natural problem solver with a methodical approach to tasks
