As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for experienced and qualified Online Tutors/Associates to support the delivery of our Animal courses. These roles are subject specific, and we are particularly interested in applicants with the following subject specialisms:

  • Forest School

We are looking for individuals qualified in either:

  • Assessing or
  • Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

Required qualifications and experience for assessing:

  • Have a teaching or training qualification
  • Have Level 3 Forest School Leader accreditation
  • Have a minimum of 2 years, post qualification, experience leading Forest School with at least one long term (i.e. through the seasons) programme
  • Have a First Aid qualification of at least 16 hours in duration and which includes an outdoor element

Required qualifications and experience for IQA:

  • Forest School experience
  • Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent

Responsibilities and what we are looking for in you:

Assessing:

  • Provide appropriate feedback on student submissions, both formative and summative, in relevant subject discipline(s).
  • Actively ensure timely responses to student queries and requests for formative feedback in relevant subject discipline(s).
  • Actively ensure timely marking of student submissions in relevant subject discipline(s).
  • Provide additional support, as required, to meet individual student needs thus encouraging and promoting the process of student learning.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to students in order to support the completion of their programme of study and progression.

Internal Quality Assurance:

  • Upholding the organisations Internal Quality Assurance processes, working with Awarding Bodies
  • Provide support to individual assessors and relevant assessment team(s) in relation to course requirements, delivery methodology and assessment.
  • Reporting on monthly IQA reports
  • Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in Animal Care
  • Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer

Other:

  • Participate in course and curriculum monitoring, reviews, and evaluations, as required, to ensure that course content remains fit for purpose, with due recognition of the relevant syllabus and course specifications.
  • Assist team members and share best practice as appropriate.
  • Actively contribute to standardisation, 121, and team meetings as required.
  • Make use of IT to aid the progress of learning through use of company systems.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly, including during unsociable hours, as required.

These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners, preferably in a remote environment. You must be based in the UK.

We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal and responding to learner queries.

You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Delivery to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
