Job Purpose:
To work within the online learning portal to undertake assessing and IQA of learners' work in line with qualification specifications and awarding body requirements to maximise opportunities for learners enrolled onto our Animal Faculty courses, specifically Animal Hydrotherapy.
Animal Hydrotherapy IQA:
- Holds or is working towards a Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices or its equivalent
- Has substantial experience of working in or assessing qualifications in the animal care sector.
- Is familiar with the assessment requirements of the qualification for which they are the Internal Quality Assurer.
- Animal Hydrotherapy RQF qualified
- Holds an Assessor qualification
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- IQA learner assignment submissions in line with IQA schedule
- Assist in tracking and reporting the progress of learners as required
- Actively uphold all of the organisation’s policies & procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety and GDPR.
- Attend, and actively contribute, to standardisation meetings as requested by the Head of the Faculty
- Upholding the organisations Internal Quality Assurance processes, working with awarding bodies
- Provide support to individual assessors and relevant assessment team(s) with course requirements, delivery methodology and assessment.
- Reporting on monthly IQA reports
- Participate in standardisation meetings
These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised teaching or assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners. In addition, we are seeking applicants who can also undertake IQA duties too.
We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal.
Fees and payment rates will be discussed during interview.
You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
What we are looking for in you:
- Significant experience in teaching, marking or assessing
- Experience of successfully managing the Quality Assurance processes for remote team(s) is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Animal faculty courses and industry
- Experience using a CRM would be preferred
- Experience of quality assurance processes and expectations of those conducting assessments, including an awareness of the key principles of awarding body requirements
- RQF Qualication in teaching and assessing
- Subject relevant qualification to Animal industry
- Substantial evidence of CPD
- IQA or studying towards one would be an advantage
- Natural problem solver, able to reassure learners with queries
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Exceptional organisation
- Ability to give constructive feedback – verbally and in writing
