  • Know what discrimination means
  • Understand about anti-discriminatory practice

UNIT 4: COUNSELLING SKILLS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (T/502/6632)

  • Know how to develop self understanding
  • Know personal qualities relevant to the helping roles
  • Know how to meet own support needs
  • Know how self reflection contributes to personal development

UNIT 5: DEVELOP AN AWARENESS OF SUBSTANCE MISUSE (Y/601/2359)

  • Know what substances are commonly misused and why

Entry Requirements

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 1 qualification.

Minimum age restriction

Learners must be age 16+ to enrol.

Average completion timeframe

You have 24 months to complete your course.

Assessement requirements

There is no practical placement involved in this course, however, learners will need to work with willing 'clients' in order to provide the correct audio/visual evidence, where necessary, throughout the units. You will need to complete case studies and various role play assessments.

Placement or Practical required

This course consists of online theory and roleplay activities.

Certification Timeframe

Learners typically receive their certification within 12 weeks, though this can be longer if an EQA sample is required.
