About The Sports Massage Certificate

With sports participation rates at an all-time high in the UK, and more people engaging in physical activity, there’s a growing need for injury prevention and rehabilitation services. Sports massage therapists play a crucial role in keeping individuals and athletes performing at their best and recovering from injuries. As the benefits of sports massage become increasingly realised, it’s a great time to make a move into this in-demand career.

If you want to become a sports massage therapist, then our sports massage home learning course is the perfect way to get started. The material is spread across 10 online modules, each covering a different area of sports massage. Throughout these modules, you’ll explore everything from basic massage techniques to the best methods of treating specific body parts and sports injury massage.

Who Should Study This Course?

This course is aimed at individuals with an interest in training to become sports massage therapists. It can be studied alongside your current career, and if you’re an already qualified massage therapist, the course material has also been designed to help you channel your previous massage experience into a sports setting.

What Happens After The Course?

Please note that this is a knowledge-based course, so it will not qualify you as a sports massage therapist. It is intended as the ideal introduction to this area of massage, so you can make an educated decision as to whether this career path is the right one for you.

To work as a sports massage therapist, you will need to complete a qualification that includes practical training to hone your skills and have your assessments signed off by an expert in this field. This enables you to secure the insurance you need to work professionally. These qualifications are typically either a sports massage degree at university or a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage.
