About the Sociology Certificate
Broadly speaking, sociology is the study of human society. It is important for professionals to conduct research in this field so that we can understand the systems and behaviours of different social groups. Experts in sociology also help us to identify societal problems and devise ways to improve these situations. Embarking on a sociology course with learndirect will help you to start thinking like a sociologist.
During your online studies, you will learn about a number of different social systems, evaluate the socialisation process and pinpoint the various issues that impact society. Altogether, the course has seven modules and will take approximately 150 hours to complete. However this is a home learning course and at learndirect, we encourage our students to take all the time they need to complete the work.
