Reflexology

"After all, health is only two feet away!"

Reflexology is one of the fastest growing holistic therapies now gaining worldwide acceptance. It is based on the scientific principle that every organ in the body is reflected in certain reflexes in the feet.

About Reflexology

The feet are a microcosm of the human body. By manipulating the reflex areas on the feet, energy congestion in the body is released. Correct stimulation of the feet reflexes, while the client is relaxed, improves the energy flow and the blood supply.

This results in an overall feeling of well-being and this enables the body to function efficiently. Reflexology is a completely safe, natural aid to restoring the body's healthy balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the idea that specific points on the feet (and sometimes hands) correspond to organs and systems throughout the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, reflexologists believe they stimulate the body's natural healing processes, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and potentially aiding with pain relief, improved sleep, and better overall wellbeing.
Reflexology's rise in popularity in the UK can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, it aligns with the growing interest in complementary therapies that promote relaxation and overall wellbeing. Secondly, many people seek natural approaches to managing stress and pain, which reflexology may potentially help with. Finally, reflexology offers a relatively affordable and accessible self-care option compared to some other therapies.
Reflexology can be a great career choice, particularly for those interested in complementary therapies. The demand for reflexology is on the rise thanks to the growing cultural emphasis on stress reduction and holistic wellbeing. Industry sources also point to a general increase in the use of complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) in the UK, including therapies like reflexology. There's also flexibility in how you practice, allowing you to work alongside other healthcare professionals, set your own hours, or even open your own reflexology clinic. Keep in mind that the scientific evidence for reflexology’s effectiveness is still developing, so managing client expectations is key.
Reflexologists in the UK can earn a good living, with reported ranges typically falling between £25 and £60 per session depending on experience, location, and treatment type. With a strong client base, reflexologists who work full-time or offer extended hours can potentially reach incomes well above average. Remember, you can also create packages or discounts to attract clients and boost your earnings.
Yes, it is! You can study this reflexology course comfortably online at home and complete it whenever you’re ready.
