About the Psychology – Advanced Certificate
One step up from the psychology certificate, this qualification promises to provide students with an even more in-depth insight into the workings of the human mind. Students will begin by studying the different approaches to psychology. They will then move on to learn about everything from obedience and social influence to moral development and emotional behaviours.
On top of this, students will also develop knowledge of the practical elements of psychology. Modules on research methods, research issues and data analysis will help our learners to understand how psychological studies are conducted and evaluated. This online course is approximately 140 hours long, but our learners are encouraged to take all the time they need, up to a year.

This course has been designed for anyone with an interest in psychology. Whether you have completed the psychology course and want to broaden your understanding, or you want develop professionally in your current role, home study can help you on your way.
What happens after the course?

This is your introduction to the subject of psychology. It gives you a taste of the different approaches, some of which will be covered in more detail in later modules.

Module Two: Social Psychology
This is the first major approach we will cover in detail. We are considering the ways in which we look at the behaviour of others, and ourselves. There are five topics to cover in this module.

Module Six: Research Methods
Research methods are required throughout the course, particularly in your project work. This section may be tackled at any point in your studies and should be used for reference purposes throughout.

Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.

Assessment Method
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Psychology - Advanced.
Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
