About Your Course
If you’re a practising online teacher (or transitioning to online teaching) who is looking to grow your teaching experience and enhance your specialist skills in developing practical and effective teaching resources, the Trinity CertPT is for you. This Level 6 certificate assesses the professional knowledge and insight you need to evaluate, adapt, create, and reflect on the use of context-specific teaching resources, all of which support your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The course is designed around pedagogical outcomes rather than specific English language competency and requires the completion of four teaching activities. These activities require you to use resource evaluation, creation, and application to develop your knowledge and practice.
With direct reference to your teaching context, successful completion of this course will enable you to evaluate, adapt, and create teaching or training resources to meet the needs of a specified learner or learner group. You will also be able to justify and reflect on pedagogical decisions made to meet the needs of learners, demonstrate an awareness of their formative assessment, and use academic referencing to meet the needs of intended learning outcomes.
Additional Information
This Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT) is an in-service vocational teaching qualification listed at Level 6 on Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), equivalent to a Master’s level qualification.
