Unit 1: Physical Activity, Nutritional and Health Considerations for Prenatal and Postnatal Clients
- Benefits and barriers of physical activity for pre and postnatal clients

- Key considerations for pre and postnatal clients taking part in physical activity
- Collecting information to ensure health and safety when working with a pre or postnatal client
- The role that health care professionals play in supporting pre and postnatal clients
- The nutritional requirements for clients during the prenatal and postnatal stages of pregnancy
Unit 2: Creating safe and effective exercise programmes for prenatal and postnatal clients
- Designing a bespoke, safe, and effective exercise programme for a pre or postnatal client
- Recording an individualised, safe, and effective exercise programme for a pre or postnatal client
- Identifying and managing specific risks to prenatal or postnatal clients participating in physical activity
Entry Requirements
This course is designed to enable existing health and fitness professionals to add further value to their skillset; therefore, to enrol on this course, you must hold at least one of the following qualifications (or equivalent):
- Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
- Level 2 Certificate in Group Training
- Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training
- Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Mat Work
- Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
To help you prepare for your assessments, we run a number of useful quizzes to test your knowledge. The results of these quizzes are automatically marked and do not count towards your assessments. Quizzes can be retaken as many times as required.
Completion of Unit 1 will require you to complete a worksheet that will be assessed by one of our tutors. In this assessment, a minimum of 28/40 is needed (70%) to pass.
Unit 2 will require you to apply the knowledge you have gained throughout the course to design a bespoke training programme suitable for a chosen case study. You will be expected to create a personalised, safe, and effective exercise programme for a prenatal and postnatal client.
To pass this qualification you must attend at least two of our online live lessons, which are run every 2 weeks at 7pm on Monday's.
