Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

You will need to be working in an appropriate job role to provide the evidence required for the units, these roles can include Deputy Manager or Manager of an appropriate care setting. Alternatively, you can be working as a senior member of the staff team, where your Manager is supportive of allowing you to undertake tasks such as staff supervision, leadership and management responsibilities and involvement in inspections and quality assurance.

This course is also designed for learners aged 19 and above.

This course is designed to test your knowledge through a range of end-of-unit assignments. You will submit these to your tutor for feedback, which will help you learn and progress.

Some units that require a demonstration of practical skills and confirmation of workplace competence will be assessed via observation in a real work situation. There are no exams.
