About the Accountable Social Care Certificate
Social carers dedicate their lives to empowering struggling or vulnerable people. These hardworking, accountable individuals are essential to society. For many people, a good social carer can make life manageable and bearable. This distance learning course has been designed to educate students about the importance of accountable social work practice.
During the course of the online qualification students will study six modules. These engaging, educational units will teach students about protecting people, working in partnership, supporting people and quality assurance. Altogether there are 200 hours of material to complete, however we recommend that you take all the time you need to complete the work.
Who should study this course?
If you are thinking of getting in to social care, then this course could be for you. If you are already a social carer, this course could help you develop professionally. This course is also suitable for anyone with a general interest in social care.
As long as students have access to our online portal, are willing to learn and are interested in social care, they are welcome to enrol.
What happens after the course?
On completion of this course, you will have a solid understanding of the importance of accountability in social care. If you are not already a social worker, you may choose to continue studying towards a degree in social work.
If you are a social worker already, you will be able to channel your new knowledge into your practice. There are many jobs available for people with social care qualifications. These include but are not limited to:

Entry Requirements
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
Assessment Method
After each lesson there will be a question paper, which needs to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for marking. This method of continual assessment ensures that your personal tutor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.
On successful completion of your course you will receive the learndirect Certificate of Completion of Training in Accountable Social Care.
Your course certificate will also state the number of CPD points/hours the course is eligible for.
