Studying your A Level
Physics at A Level gives you the opportunity to study the phenomena of the universe and the theories which underpin it.
During your course you will study the various facets of Physics including Particles and Radiation, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics and Mechanics.
As you explore each of these subjects you will cover a range of topics including supernovas and black holes, molecular kinetic theory, quarks and antiquarks.
You will gain a superior understanding of the key principles which will allow you to develop hypotheses of your own in preparation for your further study.
This course bundle gives you access to all the A Level Physics course material as well as the three exams you’ll need to pass to gain your qualification.
The exams will cover everything from periodic motion to thermal physics and everything in between, presented as multiple-choice, short and long answer questions.
While the exams will determine your passing grade, practical knowledge is essential to the sciences. That is why you have the option of taking the practical exam alongside your studies. A separate endorsement of practical skills will be taken alongside the A Level. This will be assessed by teachers and will be based on direct observation of students’ competency in a range of skills that are not assessable in written exams.
Note that you will have to book your practical exams in advance of your written exams, so take that into account when planning your studies.
Upon completion of the course, you will have the knowledge required to take your study of physics to degree level and beyond.
